About Me
I am an honors graduate of Fordham University with a BA in economics/business with post graduate studies and work experience in corporate finance; a California State Certified Massage Therapist; and am certified through The Upledger Institute International as a Certified CranioSacral Therapist (CST-T) for all ages from prenatal to advanced years.
As a graduate of the Hands on Healing Institute Massage Program, my formal massage training includes Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, Reflexology and Essential Oil Therapy. Further training led me to become a Certified CranioSacral Therapist and Teaching Assistant with The Upledger Institute International organization. In addition, I have been affiliated for many years with The Heart Touch Project in Santa Monica as a supporter, volunteer and seminar leader for the pediatric massage training program for medically fragile children at UCLA. I have certifications in Compassionate Touch with The Heart Touch Project as well as in Pediatric Massage with Tina Allen, founder of LiddleKidz.com. In order to expand my knowledge in the wellness field and to stay current on related issues, I regularly attend continuing education seminars with accredited organizations.
My practice is client centered and focuses on the connection between body, mind and spirit. I believe that given the right kind of support, the body has the ability to heal itself, and my role is to facilitate that process through gentle touch and dialoging techniques that encourage the body to release tension patterns and return to homeostasis. There is no set number of sessions to achieve this because each person heals on his/her own timetable. Many people who are familiar with the benefits of craniosacral therapy schedule sessions on a regular basis, as they consider it to be a wonderful way to maintain their sense of wellbeing.
